THUNDERBOLT: VOLUNTEER OF THE WEEK

This week’s Thunderbolt: Volunteer of the Week is thoroughly deserved by young Harry, whose fantastic attitude and willingness to help made a big difference at last Thursday’s Future Vikings event.

Harry went above and beyond when the Future Vikings hosted Salford RLFC at Prescot Road playing fields.

With the kind permission of Widnes St Maries, Harry played a key role in preparing the numerous pitches for the small-sided games format, helping ensure everything was ready for the young players to take the field.

His work didn’t stop there as he was also on hand after the games to collect cones, gather more than 60 muddy Widnes shirts, and even help sweep out the changing rooms once the event had concluded.

His brilliant work ethic and team-first attitude perfectly embody what the Future Vikings pathway is all about. Volunteers like Harry make events like this possible, and his efforts certainly did not go unnoticed.

Everyone at the club would like to say a huge thank you to Harry for his outstanding help and commitment. We’re proud to recognise him as this week’s Thunderbolt: Volunteer of the Week.
