We’re back with our next ‘Thunderbolt: Fan of the Week’, the feature celebrating the incredible supporters who go above and beyond for our club.
This week, we are shining the spotlight on Jeannie Thompson, a lifelong Widnes fan and one of our most dedicated volunteers.
Jeannie is a familiar face to many on matchdays, as she is at every home game selling Golden Gamble tickets, and is by far our most prolific seller. Her commitment doesn’t stop there; Jeannie also volunteers at club events throughout the year, selling raffle tickets and helping to raise vital funds for the Vikings.
Her fantastic efforts earned her the Chairman’s Award at our 2024 end-of-season presentation night.
Not only that, but Jeannie plays a key role in bringing supporters together, as she organises transport to away fixtures, ensuring fans can follow the team on the road. She also sponsors Vikings forward Sam Wilde, showing her support both on and off the pitch.
Jeannie’s passion, loyalty, and unwavering dedication to the club perfectly embody what this feature is all about. We are proud to recognise her as this week’s Thunderbolt: Fan of the Week.
