Following the resignation of Tim Holmes, who departed from his role as General Manager last week, we would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Tim for his commitment, professionalism and hard work during his time with Widnes Vikings.
His efforts have been greatly appreciated, and we wish him every success in the future. While we are naturally disappointed to see him leave and made every effort to retain his services, we fully respect Tim’s decision and thank him for his contribution to the club.
As a Board, our responsibility is to ensure Widnes Vikings is best positioned for long-term success. With that in mind, we have begun a review of roles across the club as part of our wider planning and have commenced the recruitment process for a new General Manager.
Although we have received expressions of interest and recommendations for the role, the Board has decided to advertise the position to ensure we conduct a thorough and open recruitment process, giving us the best opportunity to appoint the right individual.
We recognise the importance of this appointment and are committed to making the best decision for the future of Widnes Vikings. While we understand supporters will naturally want the position filled as quickly as possible, it is essential that we take the time to appoint the right person rather than rush the process.
We would like to thank our supporters, partners and volunteers for their continued loyalty and support during this period.
Further updates will be provided throughout the recruitment process.
