Simon Finnigan praised the Widnes fans for their fantastic travelling support after his side’s 34-12 victory away at London Broncos on the opening day of the 2022 Betfred Championship campaign.
The Vikings faithful were in strong voice from beginning to end as they watched Ryan Ince score four on his competitive return, as well as tries from Olly Davies, Joe Edge and Lloyd Roby.
Simon discussed how a strong pre-season showed in how fit his team were in the opening game, and spoke of the promise a result like that shows for the season ahead.
He also touched on last-minute squad changes and explained why Jack Owens missed out with Lloyd Roby filling in at fullback with short notice, performing admirably.
