The Vikings suffered a 30-14 defeat to Doncaster on a wet afternoon at the Eco-Power Stadium.
Allan Coleman’s side couldn’t overcome a 12-point half-time deficit as they fell to back-to-back defeats.
The hosts started in dominant fashion, taking the lead through Reece Lyne as he gathered a dropped kick from Ryan Ince to score.
Connor Robinson added a penalty to put Doncaster two scores ahead before he then took an offload from Pauli Pauli to extend the lead to 14 points.
The Vikings probed but handling errors made it difficult to build momentum. However, a late penalty from Tom Gilmore put some points on the board just before the break.
The hosts started the second half in similar fashion as Briscoe cut inside to score straight from a scrum.
Gilmore then crossed to cut the deficit, gathering a dropped kick from Craig Hall to touch down.
Doncaster added two further penalty goals through Robinson to take the score to 24-8 in their favour.
The Vikings pulled one back with 10 minutes to go through Ryan Ince as he dove in at the corner however it was the hosts who had the final say, sealing the win with a try in the corner from Bureta Faraimo.

COACHES COMMENTS
Head Coach Allan Coleman said: “I’m disappointed. I just thought we were poor, we weren’t great in anything we did.
“We carried soft, we defended soft. It’s probably the only game I would say we’ve done that and it was in quite an important game.
“It wasn’t acceptable and wasn’t good enough.”
