Swinton Lions centre Max Roberts has joined Widnes Vikings on a one-year deal.
The 22-year-old featured 23 times for the Lions last season, scoring 16 tries in total as they sealed promotion back to the Betfred Championship via the play-offs.
Roberts was also part of the Wigan Warriors academy side that won the Grand Final in 2019.

Prior to his move to Heywood Road, he spent the 2021 campaign at Oldham.
Discussing his move to the Vikings, Roberts said: “I set myself some goals at the start of last year. Firstly, I wanted to get Swinton promoted, and secondly, I wanted to put myself forward to be able to challenge myself more.
“Ideally I see myself playing Championship rugby, and Widnes Vikings was the perfect move for me.
“I’m still a young lad, only 22, so I just want to see what I can do within the game of rugby. I want to test myself.”
