Widnes Vikings are delighted to announce that our Learning Disability Rugby League programme will be returning to the DCBL Stadium on Thursday 13th May.
The inclusive training sessions will take place at 6:15pm until 7:15pm each week and are welcome to both current members of the team and newcomers. A host of events and tournaments are already planned for the 2021 season, which includes a World Cup festival in October.
After going from strength-to-strength since its inception, Learning Disability Rugby League at the Vikings has helped make the sport inclusive to all and bring some unforgettable experiences to those taking part. This has included festivals across the country, being able to play on the DCBL Stadium pitch in front of Widnes supporters and taking to the field at Anfield in front of thousands of spectators at Magic Weekend.
With the support of title sponsors, Community Integrated Care, LDRL Main Sponsors Emerald Kalama and partners Emris Services, GMB and Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service – Learning Disability Rugby League will now return to the DCBL Stadium.
Sessions are £2 per person, with participants required to email cherylm@widnesvikings.co.uk with their full name, address and contact number in order to book their place in advance.
Due to government guidelines and contact tracing purposes, participants must follow the above steps prior to their arrival at the session.
Newcomers are always welcome so if you have any further questions, or to book your place for the return of Learning Disability Rugby League, please contact Cheryl McGivern on cherylm@widnesvikings.co.uk
