Widnes Vikings second-rower Sam Wilde has been crowned Sleeptight Beds Player of the Month for June.
Wilde enjoyed a rich vein of try-scoring form in June, scoring four tries in as many appearances for the Vikings.
He has since carried that form into July, scoring against both Toulouse Olympique and Keighley Cougars in the club’s most recent fixture.
Wilde becomes the fifth different player to receive the award this season, following in the footsteps of Shane Grady (February), Ryan Ince (March), Matty Fozard (April) and Jack Owens (May).
“As a team, we’ve turned a corner in the last few weeks,” he said.
“Across the squad this year, there’s strong competition for all places and I think it brings out the best in people and spurs them on to perform in training and games.
“Hopefully towards the back end of the season, we’ll start to see the benefits from that as well.
“Every player takes it week by week. You can’t look past the game that’s coming next.
“It’s a great thing to receive an award like this. We’ve got a team full of great players and I know a lot of people are in really good form at the minute.”
