Leigh Leopards forward Jacob Jones has re-joined Widnes Vikings on a one-month loan deal.
The 24-year-old first linked up with the Vikings at the start of May and went on to make four appearances before being recalled by his parent club.
Jones was named as 18th man for Leigh’s Betfred Challenge Cup quarter-final victory at York RLFC Knights last weekend.
Now he returns to the DCBL Stadium and goes straight into contention ahead of Sunday’s home game against Swinton Lions.
Head coach John Kear said: “Jacob was a stand-out performer during his first spell with the club, and we’re delighted to see him bolster our forward pack once more.
“He is consistent with his defending and carries really well, and his arrival is a real boost as we prepare for some big league games.”
“I’d like to place on record my thanks to Leigh for allowing Jacob to return.”
