Jack Bibby parts ways with the Vikings

Widnes Vikings have released forward Jack Bibby to enable him to take up an opportunity at another club.

The 24-year-old arrived at the DCBL Stadium on loan from Huddersfield Giants last season and made that move permanent during the off-season, but has found game time limited, appearing five times off the bench.

Vikings Head Coach Allan Coleman said: “I want to wish Jack all the best for the future. Since he came on board with us, he’s been a fantastic asset to the club, a brilliant lad as well as a great rugby league player.

“Things haven’t quite worked for him this year in terms of game time he wanted, and how we’ve been going. He’s found it difficult to get game time.

“So we’ve had a discussion, and there’s some options available for him next year, and it’s something we couldn’t offer, so we wish him the best of luck. We thank him for all his efforts in a Widnes jersey.”

Everyone at the club wishes Jack all the best for the future.

Thanks also to the support of Jack Bibby’s player sponsor, Vikings Away Travel @ The Village Club.
