Widnes Vikings can provide an update on several members of the first team squad ahead of Sunday’s trip to Whitehaven.
Half-back Danny Craven sustained an injury to his calf during the defeat to Batley Bulldogs last month. Although scans showed a significant tear, he is currently in the early stages of rehabilitation and we expect to see him return to the field later in the season.
Liam Bent has undergone successful ACL reconstruction and is progressing well with his rehabilitation. Unfortunately, he will be unavailable for the remainder of the season.

Callum Field sustained a minor injury to his calf during a training session in the week leading up to the Betfred Championship Summer Bash. He is progressing well and is expected to return for the Swinton game later this month.
Ant Walker continues to progress through the stages of an extended graded return protocol following his concussion during the club’s recent defeat to Featherstone Rovers. We are hopeful he will be available for the game against Whitehaven this weekend.

Andrew Dixon sustained an injury during training last week whilst with his parent club Salford Red Devils, and was therefore unavailable for our game against London. Andrew should be available for this Sunday’s trip to Cumbria.
Utility back Matty Fleming sustained an injury to his foot during the game against London Broncos last weekend. He is expected to miss the next two games but should be available for the upcoming home game against Swinton Lions.
