Widnes Vikings are delighted to announce the return of the Future Vikings Development Programme for 2026.
This year marks an exciting new chapter for the programme, featuring a new structure, refreshed identity, and an updated development model. Created in collaboration with the Rugby Football League, the programme is fully aligned with the England Talent Pathway and England Lions programme.
These changes are designed to raise standards, enhance player development, and provide a clear, structured pathway for young players who aspire to progress within the game.
We are now inviting players to register for the first development sessions, with full details below.
📅 Year 9 Development Session
Date: Wednesday 18th February
Venue: Cadishead Rhinos, M44 5EH
Time: 10:00am – 11:30am
📅 Year 10 & 11 Development Session (Combined Group)
Date: Wednesday 18th February
Venue: Cadishead Rhinos, M44 5EH
Time: 12:30pm – 2:00pm
📅 Year 7 & 8 Development Session (Combined Group)
Date: Thursday 19th February
Venue: Widnes St Marie’s RLFC, WA8 4YN
Time: 10:00am – 11:30am
