Widnes Vikings can confirm that Ellis Robson has been recalled by his parent club, Warrington Wolves, and will subsequently joining another club who operate a full-time training environment.
We are disappointed that Ellis will no longer be with us after a number of impressive performances this season, and would like to thank him for his efforts while at the club.
While this news is ultimately a blow ahead of Sunday’s fixture with Whitehaven, our squad will be boosted with the return of several players over the coming weeks.
Forwards Owen Farnworth, Connor Dwyer and Paul Clough are all in contention for our 21-man squad, while Matt Cook returned last weekend and gained valuable minutes in his progression to full fitness.
