Widnes Vikings half-back Danny Craven believes the manner of their 42-14 victory over Halifax Panthers gives the squad something to build on.
The Vikings were comprehensive winners on Monday night as they bounced back emphatically from their 14-12 defeat to Bradford Bulls in Round 3.
Craven played an instrumental role in the victory, scoring once and providing a real spark in the halves alongside Joe Lyons.

On his own display, Craven added: “I thought my legs were going to go when I scored. I could feel myself getting chased down, but the old legs got me there!
“Together as a collective, we really performed as a team and that contributed to the scoreline.”
Craven also admits he is enjoying being part of a spine which includes long-standing friend and team-mate Jack Owens.

The pair were hampered by injury during the 2022 campaign but have caught the eye in the opening rounds of the current season.
“Myself and Jack really struggled with injuries last year. We’ve played together since the academy and we know each other’s games inside out.
“We build combinations over the years and in training too, so to have Jack back fully fit is massive for us.”
