Widnes Vikings can confirm that Prop Brett Bailey has joined Hunslet on a one-month loan.
Bailey, who joined the club ahead of 2025, has not yet been able to force his way into the side this season, and after talks with Head Coach Allan Coleman, both parties felt it was the best thing for him to go on loan and get match fitness.
Head Coach Allan Coleman said: “Brett is still a relatively young man and trying to stake a claim in a tough competition that we’re playing in.
“He’s got a brilliant attitude and gives his all in training, but it’s not been ideal for him at the moment. He just wanted to play, and he’s going to get that chance in the Championship with Hunslet.
“It’ll be great to see him at that level over the next month, and that’s something that excites me to see where he’s at because we see a long-term future for Brett at this club.”
