Widnes Vikings can confirm that Deacon Connolly has joined Salford RLFC on loan.
The move will see Connolly link up with the Betfred Championship side to gain further senior experience, and he is in line to feature in their clash with Hammersmith in the Challenge Cup this weekend.
The club has retained a call-back option on Deacon should he be needed.
Head Coach Allan Coleman said: “The main thing for us is that Deacon is playing regularly. He wants to be at this club, but at the minute we’re doing okay injury-wise in his position.
“It’s vital that he’s getting regular rugby at this level; he’ll be able to develop further playing at Salford, and we can keep an eye on his progress.”
Everyone at Widnes Vikings wishes Deacon the best of luck during his loan with Salford and looks forward to monitoring his progress.
