Widnes Vikings can confirm that our AB Sundecks 1895 Cup semi-final away to Featherstone Rovers will take place on Sunday 6th June, 4pm kick-off.
The Vikings travel to the Millennium Stadium with a trip to Wembley just 80 minutes away, as they aim to return to the final of the competition and go one better this time out.
Along with Featherstone, Swinton Lions and York City Knights – Simon Finnigan’s side reached the last four of the competition having progressed through the first two rounds of the Betfred Challenge Cup.
Both fixtures will take place on the same day, will be free to view LIVE on Our League and will be decided by Golden Point Extra Time in the event that the scores are level after 80 minutes.
Mark Foster, the RFL’s Chief Commercial Officer, said: “I know anticipation is high with players, supporters and officials of all four semi finalists for the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup as they are 80 minutes away from a trip to Wembley.
“We are now only a couple of weeks away from the Semi Finals, which will complete a fantastic weekend for the game as they follow the Betfred Challenge Cup Semi Finals and the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup Final on Saturday June 5.
“It’s great that fans will be able to attend these mouthwatering matches, and also that we can show the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Semi Finals free on Our League to a wider audience, as we did in the inaugural competition in 2019 when they attracted excellent streaming figures.
“With the growing membership of Our League, and the growing interest in the competition, we’re confident of beating those figures in 2021.”
