WIDNES VIPS RAISE £30K FOR THE VIKINGS

This past Sunday the Vikings received a donation of £30k from Widnes VIPS to support the club in player retention and recruitment.

Members of the Widnes VIPS committee made a presentation to Club Chairman Stuart Murphy at half-time of Sunday’s game against Wakefield.

Head of Operations, Christopher Hamilton commented: “On behalf of the club, I cannot stress enough the importance of the VIPs scheme to the club, and in particular, Allan Coleman.

“The money raised by the scheme goes directly on player spending and everybody knows what we are trying to achieve at the club.

“With that in mind, we would urge people to join up and donate what they can each month which will directly influence what players we can bring to the club now and in the future.”

He added: “All clubs have similar schemes and, like everything else, we want ours to be the best.

“There are great benefits from being a member, including the monthly members draw and the club supports the VIPs events as much as possible.

“This is a fantastic way for fans to help the team move forward and the dedicated band of people who run VIPs deserve all the support possible.”
