VIKINGS MEET NOAH PENDLETON AS PART OF ’12 VISITS OF CHRISTMAS’

Vikings head coach Allan Coleman, together with Ant Walker and Matty Fozard had a special meeting with 5-year-old Noah Pendleton as part of the ’12 visits of Christmas’ last night.

Noah has been amazingly brave this year and was nominated by his mother Pamela for a visit from the Vikings after all he has achieved this year!

We couldn’t agree more so we invited Noah down to the DCBL Stadium yesterday evening to meet Allan, Ant, and Matty.

Noah is Non-Verbal Autistic and has worked very hard in school to start to overcome his speech difficulty, he has gone from not speaking a work to learning so many words, and on top of this Noah has also become very good at maths.

Doctors also found out that Noah has nerve damage in the back of his eye, which has resulted in Noah having to undergo multiple examinations of the eye which has been extremely traumatic for him and unfortunately this is something he has had to endure regularly.

Noah’s mum Pamela says that despite everything Noah has had to go through, he isn’t worried one bit and is always happy and smiling.

He is a credit to the Halton community and is always kind and hardworking, in his spare time Noah loves to attend Lego club at the library and loves to watch the Vikings, his favourite team.

Whilst Noah jumps through all the hurdles he faces in life, he also helps to raise money for the Alzheimers Society and the National Autistic Society by going on walks in the park, he has even walked around Aintree racecourse and joined in with a walk from Rhyl to Abergele.

Pamela said: “There is so much to say about how amazing Noah is. He means the world to me.”

“Noah inspired me to start a degree at university this year studying special educational needs and disability studies, in the hope that I can help support Noah and many other children with additional needs to get the best education they deserve.”

Everyone at the club thinks Noah is an inspiration in the way he goes above and beyond for the community, and doesn’t let his disability define him.

We are all amazed by Noah and were delighted to meet him yesterday and provide him with what was a special moment for all involved.
