We are excited to announce the launch of our special edition red and blue shirts ahead of the Merseyside Derby between Liverpool and Everton on Sunday 24 April, the same day as our home game with Batley Bulldogs.
Both kits are nods to Liverpool and Everton kits of days gone by, with Vikings supporters encouraged to pick a side and come along to the Batley game representing their colours.
Ahead of this afternoon’s top of the table Premier League clash between Liverpool and Manchester City, the Merseyside derby is creeping up just two weeks away.
The shirts celebrate Halton’s inclusion as part of Liverpool City Region, and the emergence of football as a sport in the town alongside rugby league.
Several of our players came from a football background, with Matty Smith spending time at Everton in his youth and Danny Craven’s kicking game being heavily influenced by his football past.
The shirts are available online now, and from our Stadium Shop which will be open every weekday this week. The Shop, located next to the ticket window in the car park of the DCBL Stadium, will be open between 11.30am and 1.30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, as well as from 1pm until kick-off on Friday before the Leigh game.
They will also be available from our Club Shop the following week at Widnes Market, open its usual hours from 10am-4pm on Thursdays and Fridays and 10am-3pm on Saturdays.
You can also pick up your tickets for the Leigh game from the Club Shop at Widnes Market between these times or at the Stadium Shop on any week day this week between the times above.
The red and blue shirts will be priced at just £25 for adults, and £20 for children. We also have vests available with the same patterns, available for just £20.
