VIKINGS DONATE SIGNED SHIRT IN MEMORY OF JORDAN WELSBY

The Vikings donated a signed shirt in memory of the late Jordan Welsby, who passed away in a road traffic accident in December 2020.

Head of Operation, Chris Hamilton gave a shirt to Jordan’s father, Tony to be given as a prize in a raffle/auction for which the proceeds will go to the Critical Care Unit at Aintree Hospital, which cared for Jordan after the accident.

Jordan was selfless to the end and was able to grant a couple of New Year’s wishes by becoming an organ donor in the early hours of New Year’s Day 2021, ensuring others could celebrate the New Year with renewed hope and with the ultimate gift of life.

He has been posthumously awarded the ‘Order of St John Award’ in recognition of this selfless act.

Jordan’s friend Danny Parkes who is running the Manchester Marathon in memory of him, has also set up a Just Giving Page for those to donate to the Critical Care Unit.
