Widnes Vikings would like to inform supporters of a meeting regarding Sunday’s ticketing issues, as plans have been put in place for this weekend’s Challenge Cup fixture.
Following queues outside the North Stand on Sunday, which led to a 10-minute delay to kick-off, the club met with representatives of the council and have also spoken at length with Crowdr to try and ensure that we can collectively avoid queuing issues in the future.
A representative from Crowdr will be present on the North Stand in the build up to kick-off on Sunday, to ensure that any issues are flagged and dealt with as soon as possible.
The Council and club will remain in regular dialogue with regards to the queues around the Stadium and any potential issues, so that steps can be taken to ensure supporters gain entry as quick as possible.
A plan has been devised to alleviate queues should the same situation begin to occur again, while turnstile operatives will be provided with additional training prior to Sunday’s Challenge Cup tie against Oldham.
Once again, the club would like to apologise for the issues faced on Sunday and ensure supporters that we are working hard to eradicate these problems.
