Widnes Vikings are proud to be sponsored by West End Motors for the 2020 season.
West End Motors is a local family run business based in Penketh which provides MOTs and car repairs.
Owned by Dave and Pat Spruce, the company have had a long-standing relationship with the Vikings over the years as loyal sponsors.
This has seen West End Motors sponsor First Team players Rhys Hanbury, Ed Chamberlain, Weller Hauraki, Wellington Albert and Harrison Hansen in past seasons.
During 2020, the local business are proud sponsors of forward Kenny Baker, who joined Widnes during the off-season from North Wales Crusaders. Since his arrival, Kenny has made a huge impression on Vikings supporters, winning two Man of the Match awards and scoring three tries in his six appearances.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, West End Motors were forced to close their doors for a short period, however on Monday (20th April) they were able to re-open and provide a crucial service for those on the front line.
Priority has been given to key workers who are in need of repairs or are due an MOT, and social distancing indicators have been added to the floor area of their reception.
A protective screen is now in place across the counter and no more than two customers will be allowed in the reception area at any one time.
All technicians will be wearing PPE and hand sanitizer will be provided for customers, with all of the above measures put into place to keep all staff and customers as safe as possible.
West End Motors have also confirmed they will be making a donation to the NHS Charities to help support the great work of our front-line workers during this difficult time.
