Widnes Vikings are proud to be sponsored by FAB Formwork and Reinforcement for the 2020 season.
FAB Formwork, which is a local business, was launched three and a half years ago by Antony and Sammy Navin, providing a number of services including re-enforced concrete, shuttering and steel fixing.
The company employs over 60 people, with 80% of their workforce coming from in and around the Widnes area, mirroring their dedication towards being a local employer that shows support for our local community.
The Widnes-based business offer an extensive range of services both Regionally and Nationally with an outstanding reputation.
After taking out a number of sponsorship packages throughout the 2019 season, and also supporting the club’s fundraising efforts during administration, FAB Formwork decided to become official Kit Partners this season.
Since the start of the 2020 campaign, the FAB Formwork brand has been proudly displayed on the Vikings’ First Team shorts, a proud moment for the family-run business.
The Navin family are huge Widnes Vikings supporters, as they travelled to Wembley last season to follow in the footsteps of Sammy’s Mother and Nan who frequently made the trip to the capital to cheer on the Chemics.
The reason behind their sponsorship of the Vikings is due to their fanatical son, Bobby, who has followed the club home and away with various family members. After having a season ticket for a number of years, Bobby managed to persuade Antony and Sammy to become Kit Partners of the club.
Youngest son Franky, is now following in the footsteps of his big brother by becoming Widnes-mad too, having watched the Vikings home and away this season.
FAB Formwork are still operating but with the current situation have had to reduce staff to minimal and make many changes on sites to ensure the social distancing is in place.
While still working from the office three days a week, Sammy has signed up to the volunteer centre in Halton which provides support within the community, such as delivering food and making phone calls to the vulnerable.
She has also applied to be a Halton Street Champion, and initiative created by Halton Borough Council with the aim of every street in the borough having at least one person offering support with delivering and picking up shopping/medication.
FAB Formwork are urging all local families who are in need of any support with essentials during this difficult period to contact them, and both Sammy and Antony will do their best to help in any way they can.
