Another product of the Drighlington club Martyn progressed through the Scholarship and Academy systems at Wakefield prior to making his senior debut with South Wales Scorpions in 2016 before joining Halifax, Dewsbury, Oldham, Sheffield and Batley from where he joins the Vikings. Martyn names the 2022 Grand Final versus Leigh and the 2023 1895 Cup Final against Halifax as the highlights of his career. The Yorkshire Under-19 and Great Britain BARLA (U19) representative's ambitions are to play at the highest level possible for as long as possible and to get to more Finals and win trophies. Away from rugby 'Rambo' likes to spend time with his family, supporting Leeds United and snooker's Ronnie O'Sullivan while combining his rugby with his role as a Behaviour Manager at a Secondary school in Leeds.
