LLOYD ROBY JOINS NORTH WALES CRUSADERS FOR 2025

Widnes Vikings can confirm that Lloyd Roby will depart the club at the end of the season to join North Wales Crusaders.

Roby rejoined the club ahead of 2024, he has made nine appearances this season, scoring four tries.

Head Coach Allan Coleman said: “It’s a difficult one. I think the world of Lloyd and he’s a brilliant rugby player.

“He’s probably not had the amount of games he wanted this season but when he has come into the team he’s been tremendous for us.

“The biggest thing in sport is to do what’s right for you and he feels at this time that it’s right to move on.

He added: “We’ve had to have some difficult conversations about retention, it’s always a difficult job to tell players we won’t be retaining them.

“Lloyd’s been amazing for me and I have no doubt he will be until the end of his time with the club.

“North Wales have got a great player coming on board. I wish him all the best and I can only thank him for everything he’s done for us.

“We’ve got ten more games together and then after that we wish him the best of luck but he will always be a Viking in our eyes.”

Everyone at the club would like to thank Lloyd for his efforts and wish him all the best.

Let’s finish on a high!
