Widnes Vikings forward Shane Grady has been crowned Sleeptight Beds Player of the Month for February.
Grady has enjoyed a fine start to the new season, scoring four tries in five matches.
The 33-year-old crossed in consecutive away games against York RLFC Knights and Bradford Bulls before grabbing two more in the Vikings’ 42-14 victory over Halifax Panthers at the end of February.
He has also picked up two Man of the Match awards during the early rounds of the season.
Upon receiving the award, he said: “For me personally, having a good pre-season [really helped]. Body-wise, it set me up to start the season well.
“I think that with the squad that we have got together, there is genuine challenge for places. That extra bit of pressure is making everyone play better.
“We’ve got a couple of lads out injured, so when they come back, they’ll add more pressure and improve the side.”
