Widnes Vikings are delighted to announce that Danny Langtree will continue with the Vikings in 2025.
Langtree, 33, joined the club ahead of last season, he made 10 appearances for the Vikings, scoring four tries.
The former Barrow and Oldham man impressed with his performances in the early stages of last year before his season was cut short due to a shoulder injury.
He has now had successful shoulder surgery and will be raring to go for the start of next season.
Langtree said: “I’m just looking forward to getting back out there and playing again.
“My operation has gone well, so hopefully I can be out there a lot more next year and help the lads kick on from last season.
“The lads did a great job last season but we want to do even better in 2025.”
Head Coach Allan Coleman said: “It’s fantastic to have Danny back with us in 2025.
“After having his operation, the feedback has been brilliant from the surgeons so he’ll be back and firing for next season which is fantastic for us.
“I think everybody saw in the games Danny played for us last season he was brilliant. He brings that steel and toughness to our pack, and a lot of players respect him.”
Retentions like this are assisted by the fantastic Widnes VIPS scheme in place to strengthen the Vikings’ squad. If fans wish to sign up for the scheme they can do so here
Everyone at the club is delighted to see Danny extend his stay and can’t wait to see him back in a Vikings shirt for 2025.
