Widnes Vikings have accepted a generous donation from Sleeptight Beds, following their annual Charity Golf Day which took place in September at True Fit Golf.
Sleeptight Beds have been a long-term partner of the club, supporting the Vikings with commercial investments through a number of different sponsorship packages.
In 2019, Sleeptight Beds were proudly displayed on the club’s Training Range while also sponsoring the Twitter ‘Man of the Match’ vote, awarding supporters each week for taking part before giving away a FREE double bed at the end of the season.
Each year, the Widnes-based company hold their Charity Golf Day in aid of two chosen causes which are close to their hearts, selecting the Vikings and Room at the Inn Warrington as the beneficiaries for their latest event.
Members of the community came out in force to support the event, which included a four-ball competition in which Vikings First Team members took part in, before a night of entertainment and fundraising through auctions and raffles.
After the tireless efforts of all concerned with Sleeptight Beds, an incredible £2,500 was raised for Widnes Vikings, with a cheque handed over at their Widnes Showroom this afternoon.
Phil Finney, Widnes Vikings CEO, commented, “On behalf of Widnes Vikings I would like to thank Sleeptight Beds and everyone involved with making their Charity Golf Day a huge success.
“As a club, we were humbled to be chosen by Helen, Gary and Jude and it was an honour to be guests at the event on the night.
“Sleeptight Beds have been loyal partners over a number of years now, and we’re incredibly grateful to have received a cheque for £2,500, further showcasing their fantastic support of the club.”
