DATE of Birth: 01/07/1994
Local lad Lewis, a former pupil of Wade Deacon High School, played his junior rugby for Halton Farnworth Hornets prior to joining the Vikings Scholarship programme at the age of 15, and progressed thorough the Academy programme as a contemporary of current first team skipper Jack Owens. Following his release he played for Toulouse Broncos in the 2017/18 French domestic season prior to returning to the Hornets. Unsurprisingly ‘Yomma’ names his father, and Widnes Legend, Paul as the biggest influence on his career while his highlight to date is his senior debut for the Vikings against Swinton in the Challenge Cup in 2020, having returned to the club to play for the Reserves, going on to make 9 appearances in 2021 and claim his first senior try. His ambition is secure a regular first team place and to see the Vikings qualify for the play-offs. Away from rugby Lewis works in the aviation industry for Airbus and is a keen supporter of Manchester United.
