Biography

Born in Oldham Lee attended Counthill High School and played his junior rugby with the Waterhead club before joining the Wigan Scholarhip programme and progressing through the Academy to make his senior debut against St Helens in 2005. After spending seven seasons with Salford Lee moved on to Castleford where he was a member of their 2014 Challenge Cup Final team prior to joining Hull KR. In addition to spells in Australia and France he began the curtailed 2020 season with Barrow. The Lancashire junior representative names his Grandparents, Wife and children as the biggest influence on his career and Adrian Morley and Gordon Thallis as particular idols. His appearance in Castleford’s Wembley Final in 2014, and scoring against Wigan at the DW stadium on the way, are his career highlights to date while helping Widnes compete at the top of the Championship and getting back to Super League are his immediate goals. A Performance Psychologist with a particular interest in Mental Health, Manchester City fan Lee enjoys running, biking, reading and family time.
