DATE OF BIRTH23/9/1999
A former pupil of Wade Deacon School Widnes lad Jayden played his junior rugby mainly with Halton Farnworth Hornets, where his father was a coach, and had a brief spell with the Moorfield club prior to joining the Vikings’ Scholarship programme at the age of 15. Identifying his parents’ support as the biggest influence on his career to date ‘Jay’ has progressed through the Vikings’ Academy structure, gaining County representative honours for Lancashire U18s in the process. Having completed the BTEC Diploma in Sport and Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence courses he names his career highlights as playing in the 2019 pre-season friendly against Warrington, his first team debut against York City Knights and playing at Wembley in the 1895 Cup Final. Finishing the year with the Young Player of the Year Award his ambition is to help Widnes regain their Super League status and become a regular at that level. Away from rugby Jayden’s interests include Boxing and supporting Liverpool FC.
