4th February 2019

Following a brilliant turnout at Widnes Vikings' opening fixture of the 2019 season, as 4,283 supporters saw Kieron Purtill’s men defeat Halifax 40-16, the club have launched the #WV10kChallenge in the hope of getting 10,000 fans through the turnstiles at our next two home fixtures.

The atmosphere generated from the stands, with the re-emergence of the famous ‘North West Corner’, played a pivotal role in the performance that the Vikings served up on the field.

Now, head coach Kieron Purtill will lead his men into two tough away fixtures against Toulouse Olympique and Toronto Wolfpack, before returning home to face Sheffield Eagles and Featherstone Rovers in front of the Vikings faithful.

After such a promising turnout for the club’s opening fixture of the Betfred Championship season, the goal of the #WV10kChallenge is to see a combined attendance of 10,000 for the Vikings next two home games.

To help achieve this goal, tickets for both fixtures can be purchased at a huge discount of up to 50% off, meaning supporters can gain entry to both games for the price of one. Alternatively, fans can choose either our clash with Sheffield or Featherstone and save on the cost of one match ticket.

This fantastic offer is a thank you to our loyal supporters, as the club attempts to pay homage to the incredible atmosphere and turnout at the season opener.

After laying down a marker in our win over Halifax, both on the field and in the stands, lets make the Halton Stadium a fortress in 2019.

Tickets can be purchased at this discount price until Sunday at 5pm from the Vikings Superstore, or online by CLICKING HERE.
