After a ground-breaking first season, Widnes Vikings Women’s Rugby League team will return to training on Monday 10th December ahead of the 2019 Championship season.

In 2018, 15 girls were introduced to the sport and went on to play competitively for the first time, with seven of the squad picking up Lancashire representative honours.

Training ahead of the 2019 season will begin at the home of West Bank Bears ARLFC until the New Year, before returning to the iPitch, with sessions running at 6:30pm.

Any girls wanting to join the Women’s team must be 16 or older when the season begins in March, and players of all abilities are welcome.

Who: Girls aged 16+ - or turn 16 before the season begins in March.

Required: Boots, appropriate clothing and water.
