Show Your Brain Some Love!

18th May 2018

From 14th to 20th May 2018, Action for Brain Injury Week is taking place across the UK. To coincide with the week, Widnes Vikings are supporting the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT) in their annual Show Your Brain Some Love campaign.

The campaign aims to spread the word on the importance of keeping your brain healthy, as well as to raise awareness of the support that the charity offers to individuals living with an acquired brain injury. it focuses on six top tips to help keep your brain healthy; protection, nutrition, learning, exercise, mindfulness and awareness.

Players from the Vikings team will be backing this social media campaign, which sees members of the public and supporters of the charity share how they show their brain some love.

Widnes Vikings player, Krisnan Inu, says: “The Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust does some amazing work, supporting people facing the challenges of recovering from brain injuries. By raising awareness of their important services and how we can all keep our brains healthy, this campaign can make a big difference. I’m very pleased to be joining my teammates in supporting this initiative.”
