Widnes Vikings are proud to announce Pathway Patrons, a dedicated group of businesses who have invested in supporting the Club's pathways from youth ranks to the first team.

Widnes Vikings are proud to be a force for creating opportunity for local young Rugby League players. The Club has developed some of the brightest and best young talent in the Super League with its Outstanding Academy system. The likes of Danny Craven, Alex Gerrard, Matt Whitley, Tom Gilmore and Ted and Jay Chapelhow have all come through the Vikings youth system.

The 34 businesses who have signed up as Pathway Patrons have made a vital contribution to these efforts. They have a genuine stake in the development and growth of the Vikings, and are celebrated for this.

Phil Finney, Head of Youth Performance at Widnes Vikings, says: "Our system, along with the hard work of community coaches, has helped shape the development of fifteen of our current first team squad. We know that our youth pathways not only help young players to grow into better men but also are integral to building a better future for the Club. The investment from the Pathway Patrons is vital in supporting the Club to allow continued improvement and further these efforts."
