Young Widnes Vikings star, Ryan Ince, has signed a one year contract extension - committing to the Club until the end of the 2018 season.

The talented winger, 20, has pledged his immediate future to the Club that he has been part of since the age of 14. Widnes-born Ince has represented the Vikings at every stage of its performance pathway - from scholarship, through to Academy and first team. He has also featured for England at youth levels. Ryan played his community Rugby league for Widnes Moorfield.

In 2016, Ince made his Super League debut for the Vikings and enjoyed a loan spell at Whitehaven, where he made 16 appearances. This season, he gained further experience in League 1 with a loan spell at Hunslet and represented the Vikings in the recent Super League fixture against Salford Red Devils.

Denis Betts, Head Coach of Widnes Vikings, says: "We are pleased to have extended Ryan's contract. Ryan has performed well in the Championship and we know that he has real potential as a player. We will be supporting him to push on in his development and achieve the success that we believe that he is capable of in the Super League."

Ryan Ince says: "I'm delighted to have extended my contract with Widnes Vikings. I'm proud to be part of my hometown club and will be working hard to claim my spot on the wing. My time on loan time at both Whitehaven and Hunslet provided valuable experience of playing in tough, physical games - I'm looking to draw on this as I aim to secure my first team spot."

Ryan Ince is proudly sponsored by Glyn Jacks, of GD Jacks Services.
