What Are Traineeships?

Traineeships support young people to gain valuable work experience and qualifications. By taking part in a traineeship, you’ll improve your opportunities of finding long-term employment or entering education.

Who Are They For?

Traineeships are available for people aged 16-24, who are out of education or employment.

This programme is accessible to people who have limited qualifications or experience of work, giving them the foundations for a future in employment or training.

How Can This Course Benefit Me?

The course will give you the opportunity to build relevant work experience, which will help you when you meet new employers.

Many learners receive opportunities to work or volunteer at Widnes Vikings, including in ticketing, retail, admin or media roles, or supporting the Vikings’ charity programmes. Our team will help you to find suitable work vacancies and support you to apply for them, for example with mock interviews or developing your job applications.

By taking part in the course, the Vikings Learning Centre team will also be able to provide you with a reference.
