A native of Rarotonga in the Cook Islands Adam played rugby union until he joined Canberra Raiders at 19 years of age, representing their Under 20 team in the New South Wales Cup before linking up with their feeder club Mount Pritchard Mounties. The strong tackling forward with a powerful running game joined Halifax in 2015 where he returned a very respectable 26 tries in 92 games, picking up their Star Man Award in 2016 in the process. 'Tangs' names representing the Cook Islands in the 2013 World Cup as his career highlight to date while his remaining ambitions are to help the Vikings return to Super League and to play at the highest level. Adam was a keen athlete as a youngster and away from rugby maintains an interest in most sports.
