Biography

Trowbridge born Gil played his junior rugby with Torfaen Tigers and Newport Titans before joining the professional ranks with Crusaders, where he went on to gain selection for Wales Under 18's, before linking up with Wigan Warriors in 2012, making his debut in the Good Friday win against St Helens. Bringing more size and power to the Vikings' pack the hard running Prop had also turned out for South Wales Scorpions and Halifax on Dual Registration terms. His most successful season so far came in 2013, when he won the 'double' of the Challenge Cup and Super League Grand Final with Wigan, in addition to playing a major part for Wales in the 2013 World Cup. Passing 100 senior club appearances in 2015 Gil was a key member of the 2016 Wales team that qualified for the 2017 World Cup. Away from rugby Gil is a big fan of NFL side Green Bay Packers and enjoys walking his dog.
