Born in Auckland Anthony played his junior rugby with Howick Hornets and spent two years with the Sydney Roosters Academy before returning to Auckland to join the New Zealand Warriors feeder club Auckland Vulcans, helping them to the New South Wales Cup Final in 2011. 2012 saw him begin a six year stint with Wigan where he claimed over 50 tries in 115 matches before returning to the Warriors in 2018. Appearing in two Super League Grand Finals, a Challenge Cup Final and three World Club Challenge matches for Wigan 'Gells' brings plenty of big-match experience to the Halton Stadium, in addition to having represented the Cook Islands at international level. Naming the 2016 Grand Final success and his International debut in the Pacific Cup in 2009 as his career highlights to date Anthony's ambition is to help Widnes make an immediate return to Super League. Away from rugby Anthony follows most sports and enjoys playing basketball and tennis.
