Bradford born Liam played his junior rugby with the Stanningley club and joining the Scholarship programme with the hometown Bulls before moving on to the Leeds Rhinos' Academy at the age of 18, where he gained representative honours for the England Academy team. After making his senior breakthrough with the Rhinos and brief Loan / Dual Registration stints with Dewsbury and Hunslet 'Hoody' moved on to Salford in 2015, followed by a brief spell with Swinton, before moving on to Leigh. Making his senior debut for Scotland in 2012 Liam names the draw with New Zealand in the 2016 Four Nations tournament as a career highlight along with gaining promotion to Super League with the Centurions in the same year. His immediate ambition is to steer the Vikings back to the top flight in 2019. Away from the game Liam, married with two children, enjoys playing snooker.
