14th November 2017

Participants from our Offload programme are the latest recipients of the 'One Club, My Vikings' feature video.

Widnes Vikings, in association with club partner Rinnai UK, launched ‘One Club, My Vikings’ early in 2017. This unique initiative showcases the stories of participants whose lives have been changed through accessing some the Club's award-winning community projects.

Widnes Vikings are proud to deliver one of the most ambitious community programmes in UK sport. The Club, along with its charitable arm, the Vikings Sports Foundation, have been recognised for this in recent years with the prestigious Foundation of the Year Award at the 2016 Super League Man of Steel Awards. It also became the first professional sports team to ever be honoured at the 3rd Sector Care Awards and the National Dementia Care Awards, two of the highest profile social care accolades.

Numerous participants across the Vikings' Community programmes have been featured in these 'One Club, My Vikings' videos, including Maragret and Denis from Golden Generation to Joe Connor who volunteers with the Club. This month we are taking a closer look at participants from our fantastic Offload programme.

Offload is a brilliant programme that uses the power of Rugby League to give men new tools and inspiration to build their mental resilience.
