"We are looking forward to passing on our experience and helping spread the Rugby League gospel further by coaching the young players that Northampton have introduced to the game.
"At the same time we are also looking forward to testing ourselves against one of last year's best Conference teams, who are sure to give us a tough test in our first outing in 2010."
Northampton Demons' coaches Jo Smith and Gary Campbell said, "Widnes are a professional outfit with a huge history and although taking them on is going to be the hardest match of our players' lives, it'll also be the most fun we've all ever had.
"Professional outfits do not turn up at your door step every day, and we know we can take our chance to shine."
The match will take place on Saturday, March 6, kick-off 2.30pm. The ground is at Northampton Casuals RFC, Old Bedford Road, Rush Mills, Northampton NN4 7AA.
